White River
Fish Sanctuary

The White River Fish Sanctuary (WRFS) is dedicated to catalyzing change in the wider White River area and is committed to caring for our marine eco-system. Through our “Protect-Restore-Engage” priorities we work to restore our coral reefs, hold those who harm the environment accountable, and educate and engage community members to experience and appreciate marine life within the sanctuary.

Protect. Restore. Engage.

With the common goal of bringing back once-abundant fish stocks, what started as a collaboration between hoteliers, activists, and local fishermen, transformed into a community of passionate individuals dedicated to preserving our aquatic environment. Through a partnership between the White River Fishermen’s Association (WRFA) and the White River Marine Association (WRMA) the White River Fish Sanctuary now provides a safe haven for fish to reproduce and grow their population
